Justice, Sisto: "A logical reform that will free the judiciary from the yoke of factions."
"Two observations: first of all, it would not be a political victory in the strict sense (the reform in Parliament was voted for by a part of the opposition), but rather the acknowledgement , without affiliation, of the need for a logical reform, of a constitutional nature, which will restore citizens' greater confidence in justice and free the judiciary from the yoke of factions ."
The Deputy Minister of Justice, Francesco Paolo Sisto , interviewed by Affaritaliani , comments on the poll conducted by the opinion polling institute Lab21 (for Affaritaliani ) according to which 62.1% of Italians will vote YES in the confirmatory referendum on justice reform (and the title by Affaritaliani 'Triumph of the Centre-Right Government').
"Second observation: never sell the bear's skin before you've caught it. For the referendum to succeed in favor of the proposed separation of careers, a widespread and determined referendum campaign will be necessary to inform Italians about the origins (Matteotti, founding fathers, Falcone & Co.), content (guarantee of impartiality), and effects (more just justice) of the new constitutional provisions," concludes Deputy Minister of Justice Sisto.
